But the rewards reaped for gallant effort are priceless..and the miracles you will see happen will change your life for good! We welcome individual volunteers, as well as groups (church groups, school groups, Boy and Girl Scout groups, etc). Below are some of the requirements and expectations from our volunteers, as well as opportunities for volunteers, and the volunteer paperwork forms.

Kopper Top volunteers are solely volunteers. They freely give of their own time, energy, and resources. They are not paid with money whatsoever, but many say the interaction with the animals and the ability to help people is pay enough for them.
Expectations from volunteers
Volunteers are expected to behave in a mature, professional manner and set a good example for the children and clients we are serving. All animals and people are to be treated with respect at all times! The animals and the clients come first! Volunteers are expected to complete all assigned duties properly and punctually, and to work together with one another as a team. Because most of our work is outdoors, be prepared to spend the day outside in the temperatures and elements. The purpose of volunteering at Kopper Top is to help other people and to care for the animals and facility that make our work possible. This often requires hard work and self-sacrifice. If you are willing to lay yourself aside, follow directions from authority, and give to others, the rewards you will reap for investing in other's lives will change your life for the good!
Opportunities for volunteers:
* Fundraising! (This is a big one!)
* Horse handlers and sidewalkers for HOOVES lessons
* Taking animals to nursing homes for PAAWS
* Cleaning cages, stalls, runs
* Taking care of the animals and plants
* Help with Camp FreeSppirit
* Vehicle, building, and grounds maintenance
Volunteers are asked to fill out these forms before volunteering with us (All the necessary forms are included in the link below). Forms include volunteer information, emergency medical information, liability and release, and acknowledgement of client confidentiality. Volunteer training is on the job! Thanks so much!

we can only do small things with great love.
