Benefits of Camp FreeSpirit

Camp FreeSpirit is a great opportunity for children to learn and grow as their minds take a break over the summer from their regular learning in school. Teamwork is taught and encouraged as the children partner together to care for their assigned horse as they learn how to ride and groom it. Creativity and new skills are used through crafts such as making birdhouses, painting flower pots, and even painting horses! Campers learn about plants through Kopper Top's horticulture program that is integrated into day camp. Sometimes the campers get the opportunity to see the veterinarian and the farrier working with the horses. Kopper Top incorporates into Camp FreeSpirit different aspects from each of their other programs to teach the campers as much as possible about life on a farm and caring for animals. In Camp FreeSpirit, campers are encouraged to learn more...to learn about the horses, to learn about the world, to learn about and care for each other, and to learn about themselves.

To ride a horse is

to ride the sky.
