May 27, 2013, Kopper Top said good-bye to one of our best and most-loved therapy
dogs, Honey. Honey had been with us for about 10 years after being rescued from her
negligent first owners (at whose hands she lost her leg).
Honey was fondly known around town as ‘the three-legged dog’ and encouraged so many
people to overcome their limitations. Even though she only had three legs, she could
run as fast as the horses, and loved walking the halls of the local nursing homes,
schools, and college campuses to brighten the lives of others. What she lacked in
legs, she had a thousand times over in heart! Honey loved life! She was always happy,
always smiling! Always loving and wanting to be loved. We have learned so much from
her. Her legacy will live on in our hearts forever. Thank you for living and loving
well. We love you, Honey, you are free. Free to run. Thank you, baby girl, you are
so, so loved and will be missed greatly.
